Rug Sizes and Shapes
Use the following criteria to choose the correct size rug. 
- Up to 3x5 for kitchens, bath, back door, accent areas.
- 4x6 for single door front entry, focal point of small seating area (1 foot in front of sofa). In front of Bed.
- 5x8 for a small breakfast table (2-4 chairs), medium seating area (touches sofa)
- 6x9 for medium breakfast table (4 chairs) or a medium sized seating area (touches sofa)
- 8x10 or 8x11 for a dining table with 6 chairs, or medium seating area (6 inches under sofa and chairs) or for under foot of a bed.  
- 9x12 for a dining table with 8 chairs or a large seating area with high ceilings (placing the rug 8-10 inches under furniture legs). 
- 10x14 and larger for great rooms with rug placed 12 inches under front furniture legs, or for a medium seating area where the furniture is completely on the rug, or for a game room.
